IP and SMEs: ” Taking your ideas to market ” is the motto of the World Intellectual Property Day, which like every year, is celebrated on April 26th.

This time, the focus is on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) – every business starts with an idea. Millions of small and medium-sized businesses around the world grew out of an idea that took shape in the mind of one person and made its way into the marketplace. When an idea is nurtured and infused with ingenuity, technical knowledge, and intuition, it becomes intellectual property that can drive business development, economic prosperity, and human advancement.

For its part, to celebrate this day, the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (OEPM) will offer virtual events on the protection of intellectual and industrial property on April 26th, 28th and 29th and will launch an informative institutional video for SMEs on social networks on April 27th.
